Greetings on the special occasion of Guru Purnima from DIDM

“Where the path of life begins, the one who shows the way is the Guru.”

We the team of the Delhi Institute of Digital Marketing would like to express our uttermost greetings to you all on this special occasion of Guru Purnima. We think the person who we need to admire the most in our lives is our guru. The reason for this is that he has dedicated his life's work to be successful in one or two important things, and he teaches his students the right and relevant information so they do not have to sacrifice much time and effort to succeed. A guru holds our hand tight and walks every step with us in our journey and only leaves it when we reach our destined place.

One cannot neglect the importance of a guru in each and everyone's life.

And nobody better than us could tell you about the significance of a guru, as the digital marketing gurus at DIDM have been transforming people's lives since 2015 when DIDM was first started.

Nearly every other day is a sort of Guru Purnima for us because of the way our students show our gratitude to us on a constant basis.

Well, putting that aside, through this post, we will inform you about Guru Purnima. Why does the occasion of Guru Purnima gets celebrated? Its significance, etc.

What is the inception story of Guru Purnima?

To know about the inception story of Guru Purnima, we will have to travel back to around 15,000 years ago.

So, around 15,000 years ago (according to the traditional Hindu mythology) a yogi looking supremely enlightened appeared out of nowhere on the Himalayas.

His face has a different level of charm that people could not control themselves from watching him and his activities for long periods of time.

The people who used to live there, could not find any clue as to where he come from.

He did not do anything but just sit there on one of the icy hills and meditate.

Happy Guru Purnima

What people saw sometimes was him sitting there for weeks and even months non-stop and tears coming right down from his eyes.

This established his credibility and people understood that he is not a regular Hindu yogi but rather he is a special one.

People used to gather around to have a glimpse of that yogi but they used to go back to their places after watching him for a fleeting time.

But there were seven people who used to remain there in presence of him for longer than usual.

Those seven people always remained there waiting for him to open his eyes so that they could tell him what has been running on their minds for a long time.

When the yogi after all opened his eyes for a temporary period, those seven people asked him to teach everything he knows so that they could also become spiritually enlightened like him and feel exactly the way he does.

The yogi couldn’t teach them the profound lessons to just any random people, so he first didn’t accept their request.

But after getting continuous requests from them, he finally agreed but on one condition, they all first needed to finish the preparatory tasks given to them by the Yogi.

The Yogi in his mind thought that these people will never accomplish the tasks and so he will never see them again.

As the weeks, months, and years rolled by, those seven had finished the preparatory tasks and waited for the yogi to open his eyes back again.

After 84 long years, the yogi opened his eyes again and he was amazed to see those same seven people in front of him with their finished preparatory tasks in hand.

The yogi soon after seeing them started giving his profound lessons to them and all seven of them after a concise period of time became enlightened beings.

The first one amongst them was the Adi Guru, who is called the first guru of the Hindus.

The day they got enlightened was the first full moon day.

And that is why we celebrate Guru Purnima on the first full moon day to mark the enlightenment of our first guru.

Guru Purnima gets celebrated in which countries?

Guru Purnima gets celebrated in many countries in Southeast Asia but primarily in India, Nepal, and Bhutan.

It is a big misconception among people that Guru Purnima is only celebrated by people who follow Hinduism but that is not true.

People from Buddhism and Jain religions also celebrate Guru Purnima with higher levels of joy.

After reading this piece of content, we are damn sure that you must have started sensing how important gurus are to our lives.
