Google Bringing Out a new Search bar with sticky header and rounded search bar

Going through months of testing Google is bringing out the new search bar for showcasing the search results page.

Google has now begun rolling out a new search results page design which will have the rounded search bar which sticks to the top of the page while you are scrolling through the search results. The testing for this new design was started way back in the month of August and now Google has finally decided to roll it out for all its searchers.

The Difference between Old and New Header: The main difference between the old search bar header and the new one is that the new header will stick to the top of the search results page while you are scrolling down to see more from the search results. The old design did not do that and when you wanted to access the search bar you needed to scroll back up to the top of the page.

The other major difference between the new and old search bar is that search bar is no longer a box and now it comes along in a rounded shape.

Here is the look when you scroll down the new header of Google:

Desktop Only Update: The mobile search results do not include the new design of header and it is only available on desktop search results.

Why does the New search bar matters?

The new design is an update to the old search results design and it feels different from the older one. Any change which is made by Google leads to a lot of complaints by their dedicated and loyal searchers. So, one can expect a lot of complaints about the new changes made to the design. This may also lead to more searches as the search bar is more accessible at the top of the page while you are scrolling through the search results.
